8-Day Morocco Tour: Marrakech to Tangier with Guided City Tours & Desert Adventure
Day 1: Marrakech - Arrival in Morocco
Upon your arrival at Marrakech Airport, our driver guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for some rest. In the evening, enjoy an orientation tour, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Marrakech City Tour**
After breakfast, embark on a day tour of Marrakech. Visit the Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs, Dar Si Said Museum, and Bahia Palace. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then explore the colorful souks of Marrakech. Conclude the day with a drink overlooking Jamaa El Fna Square. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate or Dades**
After breakfast, depart towards Dades via the High Atlas and Tizi-n-Tichka pass, stopping for mint tea and scenery. Visit the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and film location for movies like "The Gladiator" and "Lawrence of Arabia." Arrive in Dades for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Dades to Todra Gorges, Rissani, and Merzouga**
Travel towards the Todra Gorges, passing through the road of the 1000 Kasbahs and Tineghir villages. Visit the Todra Gorges and continue to Rissani, exploring its historical sites. After lunch with local Berber pizza, reach Merzouga. Enjoy a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes, watching the sunset. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp.
Day 5: Merzouga to Medilt, Ifrane, and Fes
Travel to Fes through the Ziz Oasis and Atlas Mountains, stopping for lunch in an apple village. Continue through the Middle Atlas mountains and cedar forests, with a stop in Ifrane, a ski resort built in a Swiss style. Arrive in Fes for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Fes Guided Tour
Begin your guided tour of Fes' medina, one of the world’s largest walled cities. Visit the Quaraouiyine Mosque, Andalusian Mosque, Nejjarine Fountain, Batha Palace, Chouwara Tanneries, and various souks. See Bab Boujloud, the Mellah, the Ibn Danan synagogue, and the King's Palace. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Fes to Volubilis and Chefchaouen
After breakfast, head towards Chefchaouen, stopping at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Volubilis to explore ancient Roman ruins. Continue to Chefchaouen, known for its blue-washed buildings. Explore the medina, local shops, cafes, Plaza Uta el-Hammam, kasbah museum, Grand Mosque, and Ras Elma river. Dinner and overnight at the riad.
Day 8: Chefchaouen to Tangier
After breakfast, leave Chefchaouen for Tangier, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, have a quick visit of Tangier before being dropped off at your hotel, port, or airport, marking the end of the trip.
